Who Am I?
I was born at Kessler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi in 1962. My childhood was spent in Arkansas, Texas and Nevada. After spending 12 years in the Marine Corps, I returned to Las Vegas, Nevada where I live today. I have been married and divorced three times and have two biological children and three step-children that I call my own. My education is in accounting, esoteric belief systems, computers, and medical coding and billing. I have also attended bartending school, cooking school, truck driving school and a myriad of military schools in a variety of fields.
At best, I would consider myself an advanced layman in the realm of genealogical research. It is a serious hobby for me, which has held my interest for over 30 years and consumes an inordinate amount of my personal time and energy. Next to cigarettes, this is the worst addiction I have and not one I intend to quit!
When I first started working on my personal pedigree, my Grandpa Wentz provided me with a rather extensive and very accurate picture of my paternal pedigree – verbally and from memory! He ended his dissertation with a comment that I keep in my mind all the time – “Remember that our ancestry is only as accurate as our ancestors were honest!” I always keep this in mind.
